• since last i wrote:
  Thursday's highlights: i told myself i'd never try it. and i was fully rewarded when i broke that resolve.

  Thursday's deep thought(s): rundvleeskroquet. the cadillac of fried funk. mmm. lekker.

  Friday's highlights: my legitimate amsterdam debut @ Bitterzoet. [rewind] 2-3 months ago, i got off my ass and put together a deejay demo to shop around to certain clubs in amsterdam. handed them out to around 15 or 16 clubs, 30 plus in total, i think. don't hear anything from anyone until about 3 weeks ago--2 days before i flew back to L.A. for the holidays. to make a long story longer, got a call from Bitterzoet, booking me for last nite. last time slot, of 3, 2-4 (closing). i'm still beaming, afro-sheening. this was without a doubt, one of the best feelings to feel. the owner of the place wants me to call him next week. 2004, it's on you lady.
