the list of visitors to Amsterdam grows longer by the year: so far, A.C., Keenan, Chris, Damo, JRock, Mase, and Thuy Anh just stopped by a week ago for the long weekend.

so what am i up to: i'm either in the editing room, or up in my booger-sized lair at all hours of the morning working on the never ending mixdown sessions. i do not have a motivation problem. i do, however, have a minor issue with sugar-free Red Bull. but that's something else. other news: working on some new material for Big Boy Caprice's (Track Addicts) upcoming solos effort. check out some past audio: www.trackaddicts.nl. he's coming into the studio on thursday. One of the local acts that i worked with the Melomanics (www.melomanics.nl) are in the finals for the Grote Prijs van Nederland, this saturday.

aside from meaningful madness, i'm also working as head sound designer and engineer for a local theatre producer, on a musical that starts touring Holland starting in january.

alas, satisfaction remains out of reach. for now. 

found a new place. and get this: it's a 2 minute walk from Central Station!

been in the studio since 10a.m. and 4 hours later, i'm slightly out of focus and my posture is blurry. that "eikel/kutwijf/moedernukker" is still sleeping in my room! all my clothes are in garbage bags, and the only thing keeping him from raiding my equipment (read: life) are my bedsheets. it's kinda twisted that i actually want to catch him fucking around with my stuff, if only to scare the piss out of him. actually, that sucks, cuz i don't even know the guy--he's a new student. so until the dutch discover the ways and wisdom of american justice, i'm crashing at judith's. trust: i'm livin' like a well kept houseboy--3 homecooked meals/day, clean furnishings, nightly "sub-equatorial" attention, and hardwood floors. but she don't have da internet. how sad am i. so, until i can reach out and touch some young, i can't post any photos from the last 2 weeks of asstastico fantastico in amsterdam and madrid. as if anyone out there is interested.

too many things to do. not enough hours in a day. never enough fuel in the system. pre-production is on after-burners. reading 5 books at a time, referenced at a frantic pace. organizing my life here in amsterdam, while my mind wanders to byron bay (australia). how can the future be uncertain, and at the same time so unsure?

received my absentee ballot in the mail today.
andrew visited for a couple of nights before heading back to L.A. from the UK.

keenan's coming on the 12th. the two of us are meeting up with lydia, sylvia, and will in madrid from the 18th-25th for an impromtu (& long overdue) mini-Brown reunion.

went shopping all day in harajuku, solo. hit up the bathing ape, stussy, atmos, recon, fiberops, edwin, mad hectic, haze, freshjive, and beams stores among others. saw mike d (beastie boys) in the new balance store with his family. i'm going back there tomorrow to settle on some kicks and also shibuya to see what's going on there, too. if anyone has any suggestions for spots i should hit up while i'm here, let me know. domo arrigato.
